UAE President to undertake official visit to Pakistan on Dec 26: FO

Islamabad (Web Desk): President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Ruler of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan will arrive in Pakistan on an official visit on December 26 following an invitation extended by Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif.

According to a statement issued by the Foreign Office (FO) on Wednesday, this will be Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed’s first trip to Pakistan since assuming office as the UAE president.

He will be joined by a senior delegation that includes federal ministers and top government officials.

During his stay, the UAE leader is scheduled to hold talks with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, focusing on a comprehensive review of bilateral ties as well as discussions on regional and global developments of mutual concern.

The FO noted that the visit offers a valuable chance to further reinforce the historic and close fraternal relationship between Pakistan and the UAE.

It further stated that the visit highlights the strong bond between the two countries and reflects their shared determination to broaden cooperation in important fields such as trade, investment, energy, development initiatives and regional stability.
