Gold price increases by Rs2,000, reaches to Rs472,862 per tola in Pakistan

Karachi (Web Desk): The prices of gold in Pakistan soared to unprecedented levels on Wednesday, reaching record highs in both local and international markets.

According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the rate of 24-karat gold surged by Rs2,000 per tola, hitting Rs472,862, up from the previous day’s Rs470,862.

The price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold also climbed sharply, gaining Rs1,714 to close at Rs405,402, compared with Rs403,688 a day earlier. Similarly, 10 grams of 22-karat gold increased by Rs1,572, moving from Rs370,060 to Rs371,632.

Global markets mirrored this upward trend, with gold prices rising by $20 to $4,505 per ounce from $4,485 on the prior day.

Silver, too, experienced a notable upswing. Domestically, per tola silver jumped by Rs500 to Rs7,705 from Rs7,205, while 10 grams of silver rose by Rs428, closing at Rs6,605 against Rs6,177 the day before. Internationally, silver also saw a gain of $5, reaching $72.30 from $69.30, reflecting a steady bullish momentum in precious metals.
