Islamabad (Web Desk): The weather across most parts of the country is expected to remain predominantly cold and dry, with particularly frigid conditions in mountainous areas over the next twelve hours.
According to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), during the early morning hours, frost formation is anticipated in certain locations within Islamabad, the Pothohar region, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
Additionally, patches of smog and fog are likely to persist in the lowland areas of Punjab, KP and northern Sindh, primarily during the morning and nighttime periods.
This morning's recorded temperatures in major cities include Islamabad at 3°C, Lahore at 9°C, Peshawar at 4°C, Karachi at 15°C, Quetta at -3°C, Gilgit at -5°C, and both Muzaffarabad and Murree at 0°C.
In the region of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), the weather is forecasted to be partly cloudy and extremely cold in cities such as Srinagar, Pulwama, Leh, Anantnag, Shopian, and Baramula, with Jammu experiencing milder, partly cloudy and cold conditions.
