Islamabad (Web Desk): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a telephonic conversation with the Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan, Saidov Bakhtiyor Odilovich, to discuss matters of mutual interest, particularly focusing on regional connectivity and cooperation.

During the conversation, FM Dar briefed his Uzbek counterpart on the outcomes of his recent visit to Kabul, where he engaged in discussions concerning the Uzbekistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan Railway Line Project.

He conveyed his optimism that the three participating nations would soon finalize and sign the framework agreement for the initiative, which is seen as a significant step toward enhancing regional connectivity and economic integration.

The dialogue between the two foreign ministers also explored broader avenues for strengthening the longstanding ties between Pakistan and Uzbekistan.

They emphasized the importance of expanding trade and economic linkages and enhancing collaborative efforts to foster closer people-to-people connections.
