Islamabad (Web Desk): Islamabad (Web Desk): Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday appreciated Recep Tayyip Erdogan for raising voice in favour of Kashmiris at the 75th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
“I am grateful to Turkish President who spoke against Indian forces atrocities in Kashmir,” PM Khan said, adding that Kashmiris' struggle for independence will be strengthened with the backing of President Erdogan.
In a tweet, PM Khan said that President Erdogan's unwavering support is a source of courage for Kashmiris in their legitimate struggle for self-determination.”
Earlier, Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the UN Munir Akram said that Pakistan is indebted to Recep Tayyip Erdogan for boldly supporting Islamabad’s stance regarding Kashmir freedom.
“Pakistan supports President Erdogan’s bold statement on global issues at the General Assembly today and his clear support for Jammu and Kashmir.” Akram tweeted.
He said Pakistan also backed Erdogan’s demand of declaring 15 March as world solidarity day against Islamophobia.
In his message, Munir Akram praised Chinese President as well, who laid stress on international cooperation for a mutually prosperous future of humanity.
On Tuesday, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan once again became the voice of Kashmiri people in the 75th session of UNGA.
“In order to restore South Asian peace Kashmir’s issue must be resolved according to the UN resolutions,” Tayyip Erdogan said while addressing UNGA through video link on Tuesday.
“Turkey will keep on raising voice for world peace and humanity and never let down from its stance,” Erdogan said, adding that the Turkish government is ready to resolve natural resources issues with Greece.
President Tayyip Erdogan urged the UN to play its role in bringing peace to war-torn areas, including Libya, Syria, Yemen and others.
Speaking about Israel, he said the countries that are moving their embassies to occupied Jerusalem are complicating the Palestinian issue.
“I want to make it clear that Turkey will accept the solution that accommodates the Palestinians,” President Erdogan said.
