Doha (Web Desk/Agencies): Iran has launched ballistic missiles at U.S. military bases located in Qatar and Iraq, resulting in loud explosions heard across the Qatari capital, Doha, according to international media reports.

As per the US media reports, Iran fired six ballistic missiles towards Qatar. The Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar is the largest U.S. military installation in the Middle East.

In Iraq, the air defense systems at the Ain al-Asad Air Base were promptly activated, and stationed personnel were ordered to take shelter in bunkers for safety.

The Iranian news agency Tasnim has named these attacks “Operation Busharat Fath” (Operation Good News of Victory).

Separately, the New York Times has reported that Iran informed Qatari officials in advance of an attack targeting a US air base in Qatar.

As peer the report, this advance notice was intended to reduce the risk of casualties and suggests a level of coordination or communication between Iranian and Qatari authorities ahead of the strike.

Moreover, US military officials claim that no Iranian attack was recorded at any US Base other than Qatar.
