Washington (Web Desk): US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has said that Washington is prepared to reach an agreement with Iran, but Tehran does not appear to be showing clear willingness for a deal at the moment.

Speaking to the media, Rubio said Iran has a history of entering into agreements and later violating them. He warned that failure to reach an agreement could result in stronger measures and potentially greater consequences.

The US Secretary of State expressed hope that Iran would become ready for negotiations in the coming days, stressing that diplomatic engagement remains the best way to resolve outstanding issues.

Rubio also issued a warning to the Houthi movement, urging them to stay away from the matter. He described Saudi Arabia as an important strategic partner of the United States.

He further stated that details regarding a possible nuclear agreement with Iran would be revealed soon.

Addressing broader regional concerns, Rubio said China’s involvement in Asian maritime waters remains a matter of concern, highlighting the need to address growing challenges in the region.
