Rawalpindi (Web Desk): Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to dismantling terrorist infrastructure wherever it threatens the country’s security and its people.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), addressing the participants of the 20th National Workshop Balochistan in Rawalpindi on Thursday, the army chief said operations against Fitna al Khawarij and Fitna al Hindustan would continue with full determination until terrorism and those supporting it are completely eradicated from Pakistan.
The COAS said that the combined efforts of the armed forces, law enforcement agencies and the unwavering support of the people would pave the way for lasting peace and stability in Balochistan.
He said foreign-sponsored proxy groups have consistently attempted to incite violence, undermine stability and disrupt peace in the province.
However, the army chief stressed that such designs would be defeated through the decisive response of Pakistan’s Armed Forces, backed by the unity and resilience of the nation.
Describing Balochistan as the pride of Pakistan, the CDF said that the province is blessed with abundant natural resources and a resilient, patriotic population, which he termed its greatest strength.
He noted that ongoing development projects launched by the federal and provincial governments are focused on transforming Balochistan’s socio-economic landscape through an inclusive and people-centred approach aimed at improving the lives of its residents.
The Field Marshal also praised the contributions of civil society, academia, the media and the youth in promoting national cohesion and supporting long-term peace and prosperity in Balochistan.
Emphasising the importance of unity, he said Pakistan’s future progress depends on national solidarity, resilience and collective efforts to overcome existing challenges.
The session concluded with an interactive discussion, during which participants reaffirmed their commitment to Pakistan’s stability, development and sovereignty.
