Karachi  (Web Desk): Gold prices surged across Pakistan on Tuesday, with the cost of 24-karat gold per tola increasing by Rs3,700, taking the new rate to Rs364,900, according to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association.

The price of 10 grams of gold also saw a notable rise of Rs3,171, now standing at Rs 312,842.

This sharp increase in local rates follows a similar trend in the international bullion market, where the price of gold per ounce climbed by $37, reaching $3,424.

Silver prices also experienced an upward adjustment, with per tola silver rising by Rs 46, now priced at Rs4,081.

It is important to note that just a day earlier, the price of gold remained steady at Rs 361,200 per tola. The sudden increase reflects market uncertainty, inflationary pressures, and global demand.

Experts say the rising trend in gold prices may continue in the coming weeks due to geopolitical tensions and economic instability in key markets.

Gold remains a popular investment hedge in Pakistan, particularly during times of economic volatility, further contributing to demand and higher prices.
