Lahore/Peshawar (Web Desk): More than dozen people were killed due to recent rains and floods in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces.
According to reports, at least three people were died as a result of incidents involving electrocution in Pakpattan on Sunday.
Two men, Waqas and Ramzan, residents of Purani Sabzi Mandi and Arifawala, were dead after being electrocuted while bathing, while another incident took the life of a two-year-old baby, Ayesha, who died on the spot after touching an electric wire in the Sikandar Chowk area.
In KP, five people were killed and over a dozen were injured in Mansehra and Chitral districts.
Pakistan Meteorological Department has predicted showers with thunder in several parts of the country till July 26. It said that the weather is likely to remain cloudy throughout the next 24 hours.
“Monsoon currents of good intensity continue to penetrate the Sindh and eastern parts of the country,” the latest weather advisory stated.
PMD warned of water logging and localised urban flooding in Karachi and other districts of Sindh. It also advised the public to take precautions and remain watchful during rains.
