PM Shehbaz to undertake two-day official visit to Qatar from today

Islamabad (Web Desk): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is departing today for an official visit to Qatar following an invitation extended by the country’s Emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

According to a statement issued by the Foreign Office (FO), the prime minister will be accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, along with other cabinet members and senior government officials.

While in Doha, PM Shehbaz will engage in one-on-one talks with Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

The agenda for the meeting will span the entire range of bilateral ties, including political dialogue, economic cooperation, energy collaboration, and cultural and people-level interactions.

The leadership of the two countries will also explore new avenues of collaboration, particularly in trade and investment, energy initiatives, infrastructure ventures, and the overseas employment of Pakistani workforce.

The visit signifies the enduring and cordial relationship shared by the two nations and demonstrates their joint resolve to further enhance cooperation in multiple sectors.

Pakistan and Qatar enjoy a durable partnership founded on mutual confidence and active coordination at both regional and international platforms.

The upcoming discussions will also enable the leaders to exchange perspectives on important regional and global issues and to reaffirm their shared commitment to advancing peace, stability, and prosperity across the region.
