California (Web Desk): TikTok is reportedly testing a new artificial intelligence (AI)-powered feature that could significantly change how users interact with comments on the video-sharing platform.

According to details, the company is working on an AI-based meme maker tool called the “Meme Remixer,” which allows users to automatically remix TikTok videos using AI technology. The feature has also been confirmed by the company in its testing phase.

Under this new system, a new setting will be added that allows others to remix your content using AI by default, unless the user manually turns the feature off.

With the Meme Remixer tool, users will be able to generate AI-created images from any TikTok video, modifying elements such as faces, voices, and backgrounds.

For example, if a user uploads a video of visiting a restaurant, others could use the tool to create an AI-generated version showing the same person at a beach or any other location.

These AI-generated images can then be shared directly in the comments section of the original video.

TikTok says this feature aims to make comment sections more interactive and creative by enabling AI-generated visual responses.

The company has recently introduced several AI-powered features, including “Tako,” an AI assistant integrated into the platform.

However, TikTok clarified that the Meme Remixer is still in the experimental stage and is not yet available to all users. The company has not announced a global rollout date and says further changes may be made during testing.

Notably, when the feature is launched, it will be enabled by default, although users will have the option to turn it off. However, it may need to be disabled individually for each video, rather than being completely turned off permanently.
