Quetta (Web Desk): Security forces killed six terrorists and arrested nine suspected individuals during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Saran Tangi area of Balochistan under Operation Shaban-2.
According to security sources, the operation was launched after receiving intelligence about the presence of terrorists associated with Fitna al-Hindustan. A substantial quantity of weapons and ammunition was recovered from the militants killed during the operation.
The sources added that the security forces are continuing operations against terrorists in the area, which will continue until the last terrorist is eliminated.
President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday praised the security forces following the killing of six Indian-sponsored terrorists in Saran Tangi, Balochistan.
As per a press release issued by the President Secretariat Media Wing, President Zardari commended the forces for eliminating six members of Fitna al-Hindustan during the operation.
He also appreciated the courage and professional skills displayed by the security personnel in preventing the terrorists from carrying out their plans.
The president reaffirmed that Pakistan’s efforts against terrorism allegedly originating from external sources would continue.
President Zardari maintained that Fitna al-Hindustan and those facilitating its activities would not be able to threaten peace and stability in the country.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also expressed appreciation for the security forces after six terrorists linked to Fitna al-Hindustan were killed in the Saran Tangi operation.
As per the PM Office Media Wing, the premier praised the forces for defeating the terrorists’ plans through their courage and professional capabilities.
He stated that Operation Shaban-2 would remain ongoing until terrorism was completely eliminated from Pakistan.
PM Shehbaz further stressed that every attempt to disrupt the country’s peace, security and development would be dealt with firmly.
“The nation stands firmly with its brave soldiers,” he said.
