Islamabad (Web Desk): The federal government has raised the retail price of petrol by Rs4.61 per litre, while bringing down the rate of high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs1.96 per litre for September 22.
According to a notification released by the Petroleum Division on Monday, petrol will now be sold at Rs393.75 per litre, whereas the new price of HSD has been set at Rs422.08 per litre.
The notification stated that the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) carried out the latest revision in accordance with the petroleum pricing formula approved by the federal government.
The Petroleum Division explained that the adjustment was driven by developments in international markets, including movements in Platts prices, premiums and other associated costs.
The updated petroleum rates will remain in force until Tuesday, September 22, 2026.
