Karachi (Web Desk): Gold prices decreased in the domestic market on Tuesday, as the rate of 24-karat gold dropped by Rs1,800 per tola to reach Rs455,736, according to the latest figures released by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.
The decline was also reflected in the prices of gold by weight, with 10 grams of 24-karat gold becoming Rs1,543 cheaper at Rs390,720. Meanwhile, 10 grams of 22-karat gold fell by Rs1,414, bringing its price down to Rs358,173.
Internationally, gold also remained under pressure, with its price declining by $18 to $4,332 per ounce, the association said.
Silver prices followed a similar downward trend in the local market. The price of silver fell by Rs62 per tola to Rs7,038, while the rate for 10 grams decreased by Rs54 to Rs6,033.
In the global market, silver also recorded a decline of $0.62, settling at $65.60 per ounce, according to the association.
