Bhimber (Web Desk): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has strongly condemned India's ongoing actions in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and reiterated Pakistan’s steadfast resolve to support the Kashmiri people in their struggle for self-determination.

Addressing the inauguration of Azad Jammu and Kashmir's first Daanish School Center of Science and Technology in Bhimber, he made it clear that Pakistan would continue to offer its unwavering political, moral, and diplomatic backing to Kashmir until the fulfillment of their right to self-determination, as outlined by the United Nations.

PM Shehbaz emphasized that the sacrifices made by the Kashmiri people would not be in vain, and reaffirmed the commitment of Pakistan’s military leadership, including Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir, in standing by the people of Kashmir.

Speaking about the Daanish School project, the premier reaffirmed his dedication to establishing more Daanish Schools in AJK and other underdeveloped regions of the country, ensuring that intelligent and capable children from less privileged families have access to top-tier education.

He said that the Daanish Schools project, initially conceptualized by former premier Nawaz Sharif, was designed to offer free education, including books, meals, and accommodation, to children from impoverished areas.

“Thousands of students who have attended these schools are now serving the country in various important roles,” he added.

PM Shehbaz also announced plans to open additional Daanish Schools in AJK’s Neelum Valley, as well as in other parts of Pakistan, including Gilgit-Baltistan, Balochistan, and the newly merged districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).

The federal government, he emphasized, would fully fund the schools, with the goal of completing the Bhimber school within one year.

He also expressed his hope that the children in Kashmir, who continue to face hardships, would be encouraged by the provision of quality education, highlighting Pakistan's unwavering support for Kashmir’s right to self-determination.

The prime minister reinforced that the government’s support for the Kashmiri people would persist through political, moral, and diplomatic means.

PM Shehbaz pointed to recent economic improvements, such as a decrease in inflation, lower policy rates, and an increase in exports and remittances. He also noted that the World Bank had allocated a significant amount of funding for various projects in Pakistan as part of its ten-year development plan.

PM Shehbaz Sharif stressed that Pakistan could not achieve real progress until terrorism was eradicated.

He commended the bravery of the country's armed forces and security agencies, who are sacrificing their lives in the fight against terrorism, which he said continues to cost Pakistan millions of rupees every day.

The event was attended by a range of political leaders, including the Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Anwar-ul-Haq, who praised Shehbaz Sharif for launching the Daanish School project in Bhimber, calling it a transformative initiative for the region.

Federal ministers and other officials also spoke highly of the project, underlining the importance of education for the development of the nation.
