Lahore (Web Desk): Superior University Rector Professor Dr Sumaira Rehman has said Pakistan does not need a generation focused solely on seeking employment, but one capable of creating jobs and generating new opportunities for others.
She stressed that Pakistani youth possess immense potential and called for collective efforts to transform the country into a “Superior Pakistan.”
Addressing the “See Pakistan 2026” event, Professor Dr Sumaira Rehman welcomed the participants and expressed her pleasure at being part of the gathering.
She said Superior University firmly believes in the abilities and potential of young people and, with this vision in mind, is promoting the concept of “Aisa Hai Pakistan” (This is Pakistan).
Professor Dr. Sumaira Rehman revealed that startups from 250 universities participated in “See Pakistan”, while a total of 4,400 startups had reached Superior University.
Of these, 1,500 ventures were founded by women, which, she said, demonstrated the significant contribution Pakistani women were making to the country’s economy.
The Superior University rector further said that 300 international startups also participated in the event, with representatives coming from 40 countries.
She described providing Pakistani youth with platforms where they could showcase their abilities at the international level as an urgent need in the present era.
Professor Dr Sumaira Rehman also emphasized the importance of establishing new administrative units to improve governance.
She said a public awareness campaign titled “Mera Suba, Mera Nizam” (My Province, My System) was also underway to highlight the need for and importance of administrative reforms.
She also appreciated Punjab Group Chairman Mian Amer Mahmood for his continued efforts toward the betterment of the country and said Pakistan’s progress could only be achieved through collective efforts and by empowering its young people.
