Lahore (Web Desk): German Ambassador to Pakistan H.E. Ina Lepel has said that Pakistani youth are not only pursuing education but are also acquiring modern skills, while universities across the country are taking the future of their students seriously and focusing on developing their abilities.
Addressing the 'SEE Pakistan 2026' event organised by Superior University at the Lahore Expo Centre, the German ambassador said she was proud to be part of the gathering.
She described Superior Group as a major partner of Pakistan’s private sector, highlighting its significant contribution to the education and training of young people.
Ms Lepel said Pakistani youth possess immense potential and noted that national poet Allama Iqbal would also have felt proud of today’s younger generation.
She added that a considerable number of Pakistani students are currently studying in Germany and demonstrating their capabilities in fields such as technology and science.
The German ambassador said Germany was offering various scholarship opportunities to Pakistani students to help them advance in higher education, research, science and technology.
Ms Lepel further observed that Pakistani universities are no longer focused solely on awarding degrees but are also equipping students with practical skills needed for professional life.
She said combining formal education with relevant skills could enable young people to access better opportunities at the international level.
The German ambassador said initiatives like ‘SEE Pakistan 2026’ provide a valuable platform for young Pakistanis to showcase their talent and skills while opening doors to international opportunities in education, entrepreneurship and business.
