Rawalpindi (Web Desk): The Pakistan Army on Friday continued its relief and rescue efforts in Khyber Pakhtunkhawa's (KP) flood-affected districts, including Buner, Swat, Shangla, and Swabi.
Army personnel, particularly from the Corps of Engineers, are working tirelessly to remove debris and clear roadways that have been blocked by floodwaters and landslides, restoring access to remote communities.
To reach areas cut off by the disaster, essential food supplies and other necessities are being airlifted by military helicopters.
The evacuation of residents from vulnerable zones to safer locations is also underway, as authorities prioritize the safety and wellbeing of those impacted.
Specialized Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) teams from the Corps of Engineers are on the ground, conducting detailed operations to locate and assist the injured, as well as to retrieve the bodies of those who lost their lives in the disaster.
Meanwhile, Army medical units have established relief points where they are offering free healthcare services to flood survivors.
Due to the efforts of Pakistan Army, one of the key developments in the region includes the successful reopening of the road connecting Qadir Nagar to Bhatai Dara in Buner, a critical route that had been rendered inaccessible due to flooding.
