Mumbai (Web Desk): According to a recent study, 88% of students in India are using Artificial Intelligence (AI) to reduce mental stress and address emotional issues. Youngsters aged between 13 and 18 rely on this technology to manage their emotional challenges.
The study reveals that 57% of youths, especially those from smaller towns, trust AI more when it comes to privacy and prefer using it for advice on personal matters.
A total of 506 young individuals aged 13 to 35 participated in the survey, which aimed to assess the increasing use of AI among youth and determine whether they use it for creative purposes or to cope with mental stress and emotional problems.
Results showed that 57% of youths use AI for emotional support, including seeking advice, expressing thoughts, and discussing issues they cannot share with others. This trend is most prominent among teenagers aged 13 to 18.
The survey report also indicated that 43% of the participants come from smaller towns and rely on AI tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, and others. Among them, females outnumber males by 52%.
