Pakistan announces 16-member ODI squad for Sri Lanka series

Lahore (Web Desk): The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Saturday announced a 16-member squad for the upcoming series against Sri Lanka.

Briefing the media, Head Coach and Chief Selector of National Cricket Team Misbah Ul Haq said that Sarfraz Ahmed will lead the team while Babar Azam will be vice-captain.

The squad includes Sarfraz Ahmad (Captain), Babar Azam (Vice Captain), Imam ul Haq, Muhammad Amir, Muhammad Nawaz, Muhammad Rizwan, Haris Sohail, Muhammad Hassnain, Asif Ali, Fakhar Zaman, Abid Ali, Iftikhar Ahmad, Imad Wasim, Shadab Khan,Usman Shinwari and Wahab Riaz.

Meanwhile, Pacers Hasan Ali and Shaheen Shah Afridi are ruled out of the series against Sri Lanka due to back spasms and dengue. Mohammad Hafeez, Ahmed Shahzad and Umar Akmal also miss out.

Sri Lanka will tour Pakistan to play three ODIs and three T20I matches from September 27 to October 9.
