Karachi (Web Desk): The price of 24-karat gold per tola surged by Rs3,700, reaching Rs278,000 on Thursday, up from the previous rate of Rs274,300.
According to the All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association (ASSJA), the cost of 10 grams of 24-karat gold climbed by Rs3,172, settling at Rs238,340, an increase from Rs235,168.
The price of 10 grams of 22-karat gold also rose to Rs218,479, from Rs 215,570.
Silver prices saw a boost as well, with the price of one tola increasing by Rs200 to Rs3,450.
Meanwhile, the price for 10 grams of silver saw a rise of Rs171.47, bringing it to Rs2,957.
In the global market, gold prices also saw an uptick, increasing by $37 to $2,668 from $2,631.
