Gold price increases by Rs5,000, reaches to Rs475,362 per tola in Pakistan

Karachi (Web Desk): The gold prices moved sharply higher in the local bullion market, with 24-karat gold per tola increasing by Rs5,000 to reach Rs475,362, up from Rs470,362 in the previous session, according to rates issued by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA).

In a similar upward movement, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold rose by Rs4,287, settling at Rs407,546 compared to Rs403,259 a day earlier. Meanwhile, 10 grams of 22-karat gold also became more expensive by Rs3,930, reaching Rs373,597 from the previous Rs369,667.

Silver prices also strengthened in the domestic market, with per tola silver climbing by Rs60 to Rs 8,034 from Rs7,974. Likewise, the rate of 10 grams of silver increased by Rs51 to Rs 6,887, up from Rs6,836.

In the international market, gold registered an increase of $50, moving up to $4,530 from $4,480, while silver also posted gains of $0.60 to settle at $75.50, as reported by the association.
