Lahore (Staff Report): Pakistan Super League chairman Najam Sethi urged Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to stop investigation against suspended cricketers over PSL spot-fixing scandal.

According to details, Najam Sethi asked FIA to stop investigation while taking a stance that PCB had never asked FIA to investigate. He also said that PCB is currently investigating the matter against cricketers. Therefore, the agency must stop investigation.

Former PCB Chairman also stated that PCB never requested to FIA to investigate the  scandal but only asked the agency to collect and verify mobile data of the suspended cricketers.

Chairman PSL further said that PCB formed a three-member anti-corruption tribunal to investigate the scandal and tasked with adjudicating the spot-fixing allegations, submitted their respective consents on Friday.

Earlier on Monday, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan ordered to put the names of five players, suspended for alleged involvement in spot-fixing during Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2017, on the Exit Control List (ECL).
