Islamabad (Web Desk): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif inaugurated the Case Assignment and Management System in Islamabad on Friday, aiming to ensure quicker, more transparent, and efficient justice for the people of Pakistan.
Addressing the launching ceremony, he emphasized that this system had been long-awaited, as citizens across the country had expressed the need for justice that was not only prompt but also transparent.
PM Shehbaz pointed out that this reform would play a vital role in addressing the frustrations of litigants and providing justice within a reasonable timeframe.
He further explained that the country had suffered significant losses, amounting to trillions of rupees, due to prolonged delays caused by corruption, collusion, and a lack of modern technological infrastructure in the legal system.
The premier stressed the necessity of collective efforts to bring Pakistan up to modern standards, compensating for past setbacks while ensuring that future progress is sustainable and beneficial for all.
He also shared that he had personally met with the Chief Justice of Pakistan, urging for quicker resolutions based on merit for the long-pending cases in the judicial system.
PM Shehbaz reiterated his determination to recover every penny owed to the nation for the welfare of its people.
Acknowledging the support of international partners, the premier expressed gratitude to the United Nations (UN) and Canada for their assistance in both designing and funding the development of the new system.

In his remarks, Country Representative of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crimes (UNODC), Troels Vester expressed unwavering support to the Government of Pakistan and Ministry of Law and Justice for introducing modern technology to the governance.
PM Shehbaz also awarded certificates to the professionals who contributed to the development of the Case Assignment and Management System, recognizing their invaluable input toward modernizing the country's justice system.
