Islamabad (Web Desk): Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has said that Pakistan, in its role as a facilitator, is maintaining regular contact with Iran while continuing to push forward efforts based on diplomacy and dialogue.
In a message posted on X, he mentioned that Pakistan is still waiting for an official confirmation from Iran regarding whether it will send a delegation to participate in the Islamabad Peace Talks.
He stressed that Iran’s decision to join the talks before the expiry of the two-week ceasefire holds key importance.
The information said the ceasefire is scheduled to end at 4:50 a.m. tomorrow.
Tarar added that Pakistan has been making genuine and consistent efforts to persuade the Iranian leadership to take part in the second round of negotiations, and these diplomatic efforts are still actively underway.
