Islamabad (Web Desk/Agencies): The National Disaster Management Authority’s (NDMA) National Emergency Operation Centre (NEOC) has issued a weather advisory predicting predominantly hot and dry conditions across much of the country from April 22 to April 27, 2025.
According to the advisory, regions such as Balochistan and Sindh are expected to face continuous spells of high temperatures and dry weather throughout the week.
The NEOC warned that temperatures are likely to remain significantly above normal levels, which may lead to heat-related stress, particularly affecting vulnerable groups such as the elderly, children, and those with health conditions.
In other parts of the country, including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit Baltistan, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir, hot weather will also prevail in most areas.
However, the advisory noted that some locations within these regions may experience cloudy conditions along with isolated rainfall.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, districts such as Abbottabad, Bannu, Buner, Charsadda, Chitral, Dir, Haripur, Karak, Kohat, Kohistan, Khyber, Kurram, Mansehra, Mohmand, Nowshera, Peshawar, Swabi, Swat, and Waziristan have been identified as areas where sporadic rain showers and overcast skies are possible during this period.
The NDMA confirmed that NEOC is closely monitoring the evolving weather situation and remains in active coordination with all relevant departments and stakeholders.
