Rawalpindi (Web Desk): At least 30 Khwarij belonging to Indian Proxy Fitna-al-Khwarij have been killed by security forces in multiple engagements in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), the military’s media wing said on Thursday.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), An intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Mohmand district on November 18-19 resulted in the deaths of four terrorists.
In a separate operation in Lakki Marwat district, two more Khwarij fighters were neutralised following a firefight with security personnel. Another encounter in Tank district led to the killing of a single Fitna-al-Khawarij operative.
Operations intensified in Kurram district, where security forces, acting on intelligence reports about militant activity, engaged in a heavy exchange of fire that resulted in the elimination of 12 terrorists on November 19.
Following further intelligence about the presence of another militant group in the same area, troops conducted another targeted operation, successfully neutralising 11 additional Khwarij fighters.
The military’s media wing said that sanitisation operations were underway to eliminate any other India-backed terrorists found in the areas.
“Relentless Counter Terrorism campaign under vision "Azm-e-Istehkam" as approved by Federal Apex Committee on National Action Plan by security forces and law enforcement agencies of Pakistan will continue at full pace to wipe out menace of foreign sponsored and supported terrorism from the country,” the ISPR said.
