At UN, Pakistan emphasizes dialogue for de-escalation and lasting peace in region

New York (Web Desk): Pakistan has reaffirmed that diplomacy and constructive dialogue are the only practical way forward for reducing tensions and securing long-term peace and stability in the region.

Addressing the United Nations Security Council session on “The Situation in the Middle East,” Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, said the country has been actively and sincerely working to promote diplomatic contacts among the concerned sides.

He also conveyed gratitude to the involved parties, international partners, and the UN Secretary-General for their support in advancing these diplomatic initiatives.

The ambassador added that Pakistan would continue contributing positively by encouraging dialogue between the parties in order to help achieve meaningful and constructive results.
