Islamabad (Web Desk): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif left for Davos, Switzerland on Tuesday, where he will participate in the World Economic Forum’s (WEF) annual meeting scheduled from January 20 to 22, 2026.
Accompanying the premier is a high-powered delegation that includes Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Minister for Economic Affairs Ahad Cheema, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Fatemi, as well as other senior government officials.
During the visit, PM Shehbaz will to remain engaged in a series of diplomatic and economic interactions. These include bilateral meetings with presidents and prime ministers, along with discussions with senior representatives of international organizations.
During the forum, Pakistan in partnership with the WEF will host a business roundtable bringing together leaders of prominent multinational companies, expressing interest in exploring investment opportunities in Pakistan or expanding their existing investments.
The WEF's annual meeting is being held from January 19 to 23 under the theme “A Spirit of Dialogue.”
The event draws leaders from across the globe, spanning different sectors and generations, to exchange views on major global challenges, including cooperation in a polarized world, tapping new sources of economic growth, investing in human capital, the responsible application of innovation, and advancing prosperity while staying within environmental boundaries.
