Islamabad (Web Desk): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed to provide every possible support and facilitation to Pakistani Hajj pilgrims they need throughout their journey.
Chairing a meeting to review preparations for Hajj 2025 in Islamabad on Monday, the premier made it clear that any lapse in the arrangements would not be tolerated.
“Pilgrims are the guests of Allah Almighty, therefore no negligence will be accepted in terms of services and assistance for them,” the premier said.
PM Shehbaz called for a detailed presentation of plans for Hajj 2025 in the coming days.
He also instructed the officials to provide a thorough briefing on the criteria for selecting Moavineen Hajj (Hajj assistants), outlining their responsibilities and the arrangements in place.
“The best possible training facility should be provided to the pilgrims, besides ensuring selection of capable officers having good repute for Hajj duty,” he added.
In his directives, PM Shehbaz placed special importance on ensuring the pilgrims’ comfort, including their accommodation, travel, and other essential services.
“Merit and transparency must be ensured in deployment of the Moavineen,” he insisted.
The meeting also discussed the progress of the Hajj Fund, which was nearing completion, and confirmed that, as in the previous year, mobile SIM cards would be provided to the pilgrims.
Additionally, the mobile application designed to assist the pilgrims was confirmed to be fully operational.
The meeting, attended by Federal Ministers Ahad Khan Cheema, Chaudhry Salik Hussain, and senior officials, provided a detailed overview of the ongoing preparations.
