Islamabad (Web Desk): Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad Hassan Al-Shaibani reached Pakistan on Thursday for an official visit following an invitation extended by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar.
The visiting dignitary was welcomed on his arrival by the Additional Secretary for Middle East Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
He is heading a senior-level Syrian delegation during the visit.
The two sides will hold in-depth discussions on their bilateral ties, with discussions covering the full range of relations between the two countries.
They will also explore ways to expand cooperation in different areas and share perspectives on important regional and international issues.
According to a statement issued by the Foreign Office (FO), the visit carries significance for strengthening Pakistan-Syria relations and creating further opportunities for closer cooperation between the two countries.
