Islamabad (Web Desk): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar reiterated Pakistan’s firm stance in support of sustained dialogue and meaningful diplomatic engagement.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), he shared these views during a telephone discussion with Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong.
On the occasion, Ishaq Dar provided Penny Wong with a detailed update on the Islamabad Talks that took place on the 11th and 12th of this month, outlining the proceedings and Pakistan’s facilitative role in the process.
Australian FM Penny Wong expressed her appreciation for Ishaq Dar’s diplomatic outreach and acknowledged Pakistan’s constructive efforts in helping to promote dialogue between Iran and the United States.
She also welcomed Islamabad’s ongoing commitment to encouraging diplomatic solutions.
The two sides also exchanged concerns regarding the wider impact of global tensions on the world economy, particularly for developing nations, and stressed that resolving disputes through peaceful means is crucial for maintaining international stability.
