Rawalpindi (Web Desk): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder and former premier Imran Khan boycotted the Anti-Terrorism Court proceedings via video link in the GHQ attack case.
During the hearing at the Anti-Terrorism Court in Rawalpindi, Imran Khan was presented before the court through a video link from jail.
According to the court, Imran Khan was summoned three times via video link: the first call was at 10:30 AM, then at 11:00 AM, and finally, he appeared at 11:25 AM.
During the hearing, Imran Khan’s lawyer, Faisal Malik, requested permission to speak to his client in private, which the court granted.
However, instead of discussing legal matters, Imran Khan began making political statements.
Imran Khan instructed his lawyers to boycott the proceedings via video link, prompting the defense lawyers to walk out of the courtroom.
Despite this, the court continued the hearing and started recording witness statements. The lawyers have also decided to challenge the video link notification in the High Court.
