Tel Aviv (Agencies): A drone strike aimed at Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's holiday residence in Caesarea was reported on Saturday. Netanyahu was not present during the attack, and his spokesman confirmed that there were no casualties.

The Israeli military stated that the drone was launched from Lebanon and successfully hit a building, though the identity of the structure remains unclear.

Additionally, two other drones that entered Israeli airspace were intercepted without incident.

In a related development, Israeli airstrikes in northern Lebanon have intensified, resulting in the deaths of at least 21 people in the predominantly Christian town of Aitou.

The airstrikes targeted a residence that was reportedly housing displaced families, causing injuries to eight others. Images from the area depicted severe destruction, with rescue workers working through debris.

As part of its military campaign, Israel has ordered the evacuation of 25 villages in southern Lebanon, advising residents to move north of the Awali River, which is approximately 60 kilometers from the Israeli border.

Following the death of four Israeli soldiers in a Hezbollah drone strike, Netanyahu vowed to continue military operations against Hezbollah "without mercy," including potential strikes in Beirut.

The conflict between Israel and Hezbollah reignited in late 2023, when Hezbollah began launching rockets in support of Hamas.

Tensions have also risen concerning the United Nations peacekeeping force (UNIFIL) stationed in southern Lebanon, with reports of several UN positions coming under fire during the ongoing clashes.

The UN Security Council has expressed growing concern over the safety of peacekeepers, particularly after reports of Israeli tanks entering a UNIFIL base over the weekend.
