Islamabad (Web Desk): Director General (DG) Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry visited Quaid-e-Azam University (QAU) in Islamabad, where he was warmly welcomed by faculty members and students.
During the visit, the DG ISPR addressed a special interactive session, speaking in detail about the country’s internal situation, defence matters, and the professional responsibilities of the Pakistan Army.
Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif highlighted the growing challenge of misinformation on social media and urged students to distinguish between propaganda and verified facts.
He stressed that developing this awareness is essential for young people to make informed and responsible decisions in an era dominated by digital narratives.
During the session, the Vice Chancellor of Quaid-e-Azam University endorsed the DG ISPR’s recent remarks regarding India, particularly his statement on Pakistan Army’s technological edge over certain Indian capabilities.
The vice Chancellor noted that the world has recognized the professionalism and operational competence of Pakistan’s armed forces.
Both students and faculty described the session as highly informative and impactful, saying it clarified several misconceptions.
Students expressed their sense of national identity, remarking, “We are Pakistanis first, and the Pakistan Army comes from within us.”
They thanked the DG ISPR for his candid responses and for addressing concerns related to social media misinformation with clarity and evidence-based explanations.
