Lahore (Web Desk): An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Lahore approved pre-arrest bail of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman and former premier Imran Khan in three cases related to May 9 riots till June 2.
The former premier in court today after receiving permission for his vehicle to enter the ATC premises.
The PTI chief was booked under the charges of ransacking, setting fire to Jinnah (Corps Commander) House in Lahore and disrupting law and order situation following his arrest on May 9.
Barrister Salman Safdar had filed the pleas on behalf of the former PM, which urged the court to grant Imran bail so that he could join the investigations.
Meanwhile, the court reserved decision on the former premier’s bail pleas in FIRs registered against him for the murder of Zile Shah, and creating a law-and-order situation at his Zaman Park residence in Lahore.
