Islamabad (Staff Report): Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) senior leader Sharjeel Inam Memon has been released after short detention in the early hours of Sunday in Islamabad.
According to details, former Sindh Information Minister had been detained at Islamabad Airport immediately after his arrival from Dubai where he lived in self-exile for over a year. He was arrested due to his involvement in corruption worth billion of rupees
National Accountability Bureau (NAB) officials took Memon into custody from the airport and shifted him to an undisclosed place but released him after checking his bail documents. He was released after two hours of detention.
Minister for Works and Services Imdad Ali Pitafi said that Sharjeel Memon had taken bail before arrest from Islamabad High Court and was scheduled to appear before the court on Monday.
