Islamabad (Staff Report/Agencies): Former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry said Tuesday that the PTI — once it forms its government in Punjab — may banned Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah and Punjab Home Minister Attaullah Tarar’s entry into the province.
Addressing a press conference, the PTI Senior Vice President said Punjab Assembly Deputy Speaker Dost Mazari, who is also the Punjab CM election session’s presiding officer, should ban Sanaullah immediately after the statement he made last night.
It is pertinent to mention here that the interior minister made a statement, claiming that 5 to 7 PTI MPs could “disappear” during the voting for Punjab’s chief minister election.
On Sunday, the PTI crushed the PML-N by winning at least 15 seats in the by-elections on 20 seats held in 14 districts of the province.
All the seats fell vacant after the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) de-seated PTI MPAs for defection due to former prime minister Imran Khan’s petition.
After the by-polls results, it is being expected that the PTI will succeed to install Pervez Elahi as Punjab CM. The voting for CM slot will take place on July 22.
