Islamabad (Web Desk): The World Bank (WB) has reaffirmed its strong commitment to working alongside Pakistan in addressing the nation's ongoing economic challenges.
This commitment was made by a World Bank delegation of Executive Directors that called on Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb in Islamabad today.
During the meeting, the members of the delegation expressed their appreciation for the government's ongoing reform initiatives.
They acknowledged the early positive outcomes of key economic measures, highlighting their role in creating a path toward stability and growth.
The delegation emphasized that structural reforms are vital for ensuring long-term prosperity and economic resilience in the country.
On his part, Finance Minister Aurangzeb emphasized the government's focus on advancing privatization efforts and ensuring an environment that encourages private sector leadership in driving economic progress.
He also expressed gratitude for the recent launch of the Country Partnership Framework 2026-35, which includes an unprecedented commitment of twenty billion dollars to help support Pakistan’s key development priorities.
