California (Web Desk): Google introduced the Gemini 3 Pro, and now the company has unveiled its latest version, Gemini 3 Flash. As the name suggests, this model is designed for speed, and according to Google, Gemini 3 Flash is so fast that it feels as quick as Google Search for most queries.
Gemini 3 Flash will now be the default model in Google’s Gemini app, while users opting for Gemini 3 Pro will have to choose the “Thinking Model,” which is tailored for complex tasks like advanced math and coding. Google clarified that while Gemini 3 Pro remains the best option for intricate tasks, the Flash model is expected to be far superior for most other general needs.
Interestingly, Gemini 3 Flash significantly outperforms Gemini 2.5 Flash, and in certain tests, it even matched OpenAI's GPT 5.2 in terms of performance. Google has also incorporated Gemini 3 Flash as the default model in its AI-powered search mode.
According to Google, the new AI mode will be better at understanding your needs, enabling users to ask more complex questions and receive answers that are more in line with their expectations.
