Peshawar (Web Desk): In response to the recent flooding in Shangla and Buner districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), the Pakistan Army’s Engineers Corps continues to carry out extensive relief efforts.
Traffic flow has been restored on the Pir Baba Bypass, which is now open to all vehicles following clearance operations.
Landslides that had blocked access to Gokand village were removed at three different locations, allowing movement to resume.
In a similar effort, Army engineers have utilized heavy machinery to clear debris and reopen the route leading to Aloch Paran.
Meanwhile, Urban Search and Rescue teams, working alongside engineering units and machinery, remain actively engaged in search operations across Besoni and Qadir Nagar.
As part of these operations, five bodies have been recovered from a stream near Besoni so far.
These operations are ongoing as the Army continues to assist local populations affected by the severe weather and terrain disruptions.
