Islamabad (Web Desk): The federal government has announced a new adjustment in the prices of petroleum products, with high-speed diesel (HSD) becoming Rs3.47 per litre more expensive, while petrol has seen a marginal decrease of Rs0.43 per litre.

According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Energy’s Petroleum Division, revised rates would remain in effect for Friday, September 18, 2026.

Under the latest revision, the ex-depot price of HSD has climbed from Rs421.45 to Rs424.92 per litre. On the other hand, price of petrol has dropped from Rs391.22 to Rs390.79 per litre.

The Petroleum Division explained that the latest changes were introduced in line with the petroleum pricing formula approved by the federal government.

As per the ministry, movements in international factors, including Platts prices, premiums and other associated costs, led to the adjustment.
