China (Web Desk): According to the Balochistan Transport Department, 21 state-of-the-art green buses have been sent from China and will soon enhance public transport services in Quetta and Turbat within the next few weeks.
Of these, 17 buses will be integrated into the Quetta Green Bus Service, while 4 are allocated for Turbat.
Officials say this initiative marks a significant milestone in improving the quality of public transportation across the province, offering citizens a more comfortable and efficient travel experience.
The Transport Department also announced the introduction of special pink-colored buses exclusively for women in Quetta, aimed at providing safe and segregated travel options. This step is expected to make commuting safer and more convenient for female passengers.
Government representatives highlighted that the launch of the Green Bus Service will not only provide modern and high-quality public transport but also help reduce traffic congestion and tackle environmental pollution.
The new buses comply with international standards for low fuel consumption and environmental protection.
Public response to this decision has been overwhelmingly positive, with citizens expressing hope that it will significantly alleviate transportation challenges in Balochistan’s major cities.
