Kakul (Web Desk): A grand passing-out parade for the cadets of the 152nd PMA Long Course, 71st Integrated Course, 26th Lady Cadet Course, and 37th Technical Graduate Course took place at the Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) Kakul on Saturday.
Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir attended the ceremony as the chief guest, where he inspected the parade and distributed awards among the outstanding cadets.
The occasion also marked the graduation of cadets from friendly nations, including Iraq, Palestine, Qatar, Mali, Nepal, Maldives, Sri Lanka, Yemen, Bangladesh, and Nigeria, who completed their military training at the academy.
Academy Senior Under Officer Ahmed Mujtaba Arif Raja of the 152nd PMA Long Course received the coveted Sword of Honour, while Battalion Senior Under Officer Zohair Hussain of the same course earned the President’s Gold Medal. The Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee Overseas Gold Medal was presented to Friendly Country Company Junior Under Officer Tekraj of the 152nd PMA Long Course.
Gentleman Cadet Syed Hashir Hassan of the 152nd PMA Long Course was honoured with the Chief of Army Staff Marksman Medal, and Course Under Officer Shaheer Ali of the 37th Technical Graduate Course was awarded the Chief of Army Staff Cane. Course Sports Sergeant Most Jannatul Mawa from the 26th Lady Cadet Course received the Commandant’s Overseas Medal.
Commandant’s Canes were also conferred upon Course Under Officer Sayed Abdul Hadi of the 71st Integrated Course and Course Under Officer Hadia Fayyaz of the 26th Lady Cadet Course for their remarkable achievements throughout their training.
