Islamabad (Web Desk): The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has approved a policy-based loan of $700 million aimed at strengthening and modernising Pakistan’s insurance sector.
In a statement, the bank’s Country Director for Pakistan Emma Fan explained that the reform programme is designed to reshape the country’s insurance system by moving it away from an outdated, rules-driven structure toward a more modern and market-oriented framework.
She further noted that the initiative will help widen financial protection for both households and businesses, while also contributing to the development of a more competitive, inclusive, and resilient insurance market in Pakistan.
