Tehran (Web Desk/Agencies): Amid rising regional tensions, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei delivered a stern televised warning, asserting the nation’s readiness to resist both war and peace imposed by external forces.
His remarks, reported by the Tasnim news agency, come in the wake of intensified military activity involving Israel and escalating rhetoric from the United States.
“Iran will stand firm against an imposed war, just as it will stand firm against an imposed peace,” Khamenei declared. “This nation will not surrender to anyone in the face of imposition.”
Directly addressing recent statements made by US President Donald Trump, the Iranian leader criticized Washington’s approach, cautioning against hostile language and threats.
He stated, “Those who know Iran and its history know that Iranians do not answer well to the language of threat.” He added, “And the Americans should know that any US military intervention will undoubtedly be accompanied by irreparable consequences.”
Khamenei also took to social media platform X, issuing a defiant message: “The US President threatens us. With his absurd rhetoric, he demands that the Iranian people surrender to him. They should make threats against those who are afraid of being threatened. The Iranian nation isn’t frightened by such threats.”
These declarations came shortly after Trump intensified his demands on his Truth Social platform, labeling Khamenei “an easy target” while insisting on Iran’s “UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER.”
Khamenei reinforced Iran’s resolve in his national address, reiterating that any aggressive move by the US would provoke a powerful response.
Meanwhile, Tehran faced chaos as thousands fled the capital following overnight Israeli airstrikes.
According to reports, Israeli jets carried out a large-scale bombing campaign, targeting roughly 20 facilities linked to missile production, including factories for raw materials and missile components.
In light of these developments, sources suggest President Trump is actively considering military options, which could include direct collaboration with Israel to strike Iran’s nuclear infrastructure.
Responding diplomatically, Iran’s ambassador to the United Nations (UN) in Geneva, Ali Bahreini, signaled that any American military involvement would trigger retaliation.
“He said he already saw the US as ‘complicit in what Israel is doing,’” reinforcing Tehran’s perception of Washington’s role in the unfolding conflict.
