Gold price increases by Rs2,400, reaches to Rs424,236 per tola in Pakistan

Karachi (Web Desk): Gold prices continued their upward momentum in Pakistan on Saturday, with the value of 24-karat gold climbing by Rs2,400 per tola to reach Rs424,236, according to the latest rates released by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association 

The association also reported an increase in the price of 24-karat gold per 10 grams, which rose by Rs2,057 to settle at Rs363,713. Likewise, 10 grams of 22-karat gold became costlier by Rs1,885, taking its new price to Rs333,415.

The rise in domestic prices followed gains in the global bullion market, where gold advanced by $24 per ounce, pushing the international rate to $4,018.

Silver prices also registered an upward trend in the local market. The price of one tola of silver increased by Rs41 to stand at Rs6,070, while 10 grams of silver gained Rs36, reaching Rs5,204.

On the international market, silver also posted gains, with its price moving up by $0.41 per ounce to settle at $55.91, the association said.
