Islamabad (Web Desk): Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has instructed all departments functioning under the Ministry of Interior to strengthen their coordination mechanisms in order to enhance efficiency and improve public service outcomes.
Chairing a top-level meeting in Islamabad, the minister expressed concern over the evident communication gaps and lack of synergy among the ministry's affiliated bodies, stressing the urgency of resolving these issues without delay.
The interior minister directed the relevant departments to submit their proposed amendments to existing regulations, along with any other pertinent suggestions, within a three-day timeframe.
These inputs will contribute to the development of a comprehensive strategy, which the Federal Secretary of the Interior has been tasked with finalizing and presenting.
Naqvi underscored the importance of collective effort and mutual support, stating that harnessing each institution’s strengths through collaboration would significantly enhance overall performance.
The meeting was attended by Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry, senior ministry personnel, and the heads of several key departments including the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA), Islamabad Police, Passport and Immigration Directorate, and Cyber Crime Investigation units.
The interior minister concluded by reaffirming that greater departmental cohesion would directly translate into more streamlined and effective services for citizens.
