Lala Musa (Staff Report): Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Wednesday said that attempts were being made to form an IJI-like puppet alliance to favour Pakistan Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI).

Speaking to news men on the occasion of his election campaign in Lala Musa, Bilawal said that Imran Khan was fearing defeat in the elections and a puppet alliance was being made. He said that the PTI chief is under the false impression that he can become the prime minister through conspiracies; he will fail in this conspiracy.

Bilawal said if Imran Khan is so popular, if his politics is on a high and people are with him, why is there a need for favouritism towards him and a need to disturb other parties through different tactics.

The PPP chief claimed that it was not just the PPP and PML-N who held reservations over the fairness of the election, but also the Awami National Party, political leaders in Balochistan, the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan and international media.

On Tuesday, Bilawal said that his party is ready to sign a new charter of democracy.

He said that PPP is ready to initiate a dialogue with opponent political parties to strengthen democratic system in the country.

Addressing a news conference in Islamabad on Tuesday, Bilawal said that he kick started his election campaign from Karachi and then also addressed gatherings in South Punjab.

He said his visit to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa also remained very productive in terms of motivating the voters. He said today he is leading a rally to Lala Musa.

Bilawal said the country is faced with serious economic challenges and the menace of extremism and terrorism.

He said the PPP after coming to the parliament will focus its attention on addressing these issues. He said the PPP is the only party which can steer the country out of current challenging times.

Responding to a question, Bilawal said it is the right of political parties to criticize their opponents but it should be within limits. He said the main focus of parties should be on issues and present their plans and manifestos before the masses.
